Böker Acht-Acht Flak Damast 刀 121508DAM
说明
Boker introduces its first military-historical project with the Eight-Eight (8-8) Flak Damascus collector's dagger, inspired by the legendary 8.8 cm Flak anti-aircraft gun. Renowned for its versatility during World War II, the 8.8 cm Flak was initially designed for anti-aircraft defense but became famous for its effectiveness in ground combat. Unlike smaller-caliber anti-tank guns, the Eight-Eight's large barrel could penetrate the armor of tanks like the British Matilda II and Soviet T-34 from distances up to 2,000 meters. This was achieved thanks to its unique design, allowing the barrel to be lowered below the horizontal plane to target ground forces, along with a 360° swivel mount.
The Eight-Eight's speed and firepower were key advantages. Its semi-automatic mechanism allowed a crew of nine to fire up to 20 rounds per minute, contributing to the gun's reputation. Despite a relatively low success rate against incoming aircraft (9 out of 1,000), it remains one of the most efficient anti-aircraft guns in history. The 8.8 cm Flak was also used as the main armament of the famous Tiger tank and later in the Nashorn tank destroyer, further solidifying its legendary status.
Boker's Eight-Eight Flak Damascus dagger captures the essence of this iconic weapon. The dagger features an 18.1 cm blade forged from original 8.8 cm Flak steel. Its handle is crafted from stabilised hornbeam, and the stainless-steel cross-guard subtly mirrors the design of the gun's mount. The dagger is accompanied by a dark brown leather sheath, an elegant storage box, a certificate of authenticity, and a unique serial number, making it a true collector’s piece.
