This knife with the true spirit of Lapland has been named after Finland’s mythological forest spirit and god, Tapio. According to ancient beliefs, hunters prayed to Tapio particularly when hunting for big game animals was at risk of becoming dangerous. Tapio was asked for protection and good hunting luck, because he ruled the forests and game.
