Description
Mr. Kitano is a world famous custom knife maker. He has played an important part in the development of the super steel ZDP-189 in the knife industry.
The ZDP-189 is powder steel which experiences special processes such as heat treatment in a vacuum furnace and subzero quenching. As a result, the blade is given the hardness as far as up to HRC 67 in addition to superiority of tensile strength, ductility, malleability, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and edge retainment.
No. 2 is a new version of the Super Series of the Kitano fixed blade using solid ZDP-189 which literally provides super performance comparable to traditional Japanese katana.
