A mid hiking shoe with a membrane

Alpina Tundra Black is a mid-rise hiking shoe that is a great choice for all sorts of bushcraft activities, but also for tactical use.

The outside is made out of 2mm thick nubuck leather. The soft patent leather of the upper part of the shoe gives it more flexibility and its foot-friendly fabric inside adds to its comfort in use.

The tongue and the collar have been coated by about 3,5cm with a net material that makes the shoe feel dry and comfortable even in the toughest of situations. Even though the shoe is mid-rise, it protects the ankle in heavier terrain as well.

Instead of a traditional glue attachment, the sole has been molded. This solution gives the feet enough room and makes the seam flexible. It also significantly increases the mileage of both the sole and the entire shoe. The material of the sole is Alpina's own rubber mix, providing the shoe with a nice amount of hold when twisted around and a great grip in any weather. Additionally, it will not harden in the most freezing temperatures. The Alpitex membrane will keep water away without sacrificing the breathability of the shoe.

The shoe has a removable insole and a wide last. However, by adjusting the lacing the shoe will become a nice fit for narrower feet as well.
