Helle Saga Siglar knife
Description
Helle is proud to release the Saga Siglar knife based on historical Viking utility knife.
The knife takes its name from the "Saga Siglar" the recreated Viking ship built in Norway using hand tools and traditional shipbuilding methods - including sealing the pine wood hull with tar - by Norwegian explorer Ragnar Thorseth.
"Just as the Saga Siglar the long ship proved Vikings could sail further than anyone previously expected, the new Helle knife proves traditional Scandinavian knife designs are never outdated and always useful.” - says Torodd Helle, director of Helle Knives.

Two brothers, Steinar and Sigmund Helle started knife production in the old forge at their farm in 1932. The first set of knives was sold on a long trip over the mountains on a bicycle! Today, Helle knives are sold all around the world, but just as then, much of the production is done manually. The philosophy remains the same: no machine can replace skilled craftsmanship. Craftsmen with extensive experience and knowledge still take pride in making each and every Helle knife unique.
