Böker CDC City Shop Engadin hunting knife 120420
Description
In 1973, Josef Zeff founded City-Shop Engadin in Samnaun Village - Switzerland's only duty-free oasis and Europe's shopping center with the highest elevation. After almost twenty years during which Josef and Paula Zegg-Huber laid the foundation, the business was entrusted in 1991 to her daughter Ilone Fische-Zegg and her husband Gerhard Fischer. Even after the recently celebrated 40th anniversary, it is evident that the passion for knives continues to grow day by day. A significant emphasis is placed on collaboration among family members, and by now the 3rd generation is working in the family business. The steel goods range consists of all types of knives from Switzerland, Germany, and a broad range of other international manufacturers. The range is rounded out with selected outdoor gear, a large selection of high-quality flashlights, and a wide range of premium distilled goods and liquors. In order to ensure that female clientèle can also find what they are looking for, the range includes a well-stocked beauty department with premium cosmetics and top perfume brandname products from many reputable manufacturers. As a result, a visit to the City-Shop Engadin is not only worthwhile for knife enthusiasts but also always an exciting shopping destination for the whole family. As its CDC knife, the City-Shop team decided on a custom knife based on the professional hunting and outdoor knife Savannah, which for years has been one of the most popular models in this category. The Böhler N690 blade is equipped in this case with a two-tone finish, combining a satin-finished blade flat with a grind that features a stonewash finish. The scales consist of black canvas mircata that provide excellent grip due to the texture typical for the Savannah and ensure extraordinarily pleasant and secure handling even in wet or cold conditions. As a special feature, the CDC is shipped with a new leather sheath design that raises the bar in terms of carrying options. Not only can left-handed and right-handed users easily carry the knife on their preferred side with equal ease, but the orientation of the knife can also be varied: ranging from vertical on the hip to diagonal (e.g. for cross draw) and horizontal back on the belt, the new sheath represents a cleverly designed system consisting of leather loop, velcro surfaces, and push-button closure that seeks its equal in terms versatility. As a result, the CDC City-Shop adapts to a wide range of requirements and is always at the ready for hunting, as well as outdoor or everyday uses.

Brand
Started from a small hardware factory of the Böker family in Germany in the 17th century, Böker became famous in 1869 when they launched their tree-brand knives developed in cooperation with the well-known cutlery-expert Hermann Heuser. The history of Böker has been affected by eventful times, but two things remained: passion and enthusiasm for extraordinary knives. Böker was one of the first companies to offer ceramic knives as a featured product line.
