Blade is made out of Sanso steel which consists of die steel SLD (core) and stainless steel (outlayers). SLD is equivalent to SKD11 which is superior in tensile strength and edge retainment.The motif of a simple wood carving with a single blade, which is the essence of Enku's skill, is designed on the handle made of mahogani.
